First of all, congratulations Leah and Aaron, I'm so excited that you will be bringing a new member into the Lanceta & Dozer clans! Take care, Leah!
I've been having brushes with fame that I want to share with you all. I went to see Richard Thomas (who played John Boy Walton, pictured below) and he was performing Twelve Angry Men at our Opera House. As I watched the show, I remembered watching The Waltons as a family every Thursday evening. Lola used to say the Waltons were like her family, they even have a youngest Elizabeth. After the show, I waited around to meet him and to tell him how much his work on The Waltons was part of our family. Very exciting! He's very friendly and has soft hands. His family was also very nice.
Then, last week I was asked to have my students perform at a reception for Arlo Guthrie. Arlo Guthrie (pictured below) is an American folk singer/ songwriter. His father, Woody Guthrie, made "This Land is Your Land" famous in the late 40's. Diana Evans, who choreographs most of my shows, had students performing for Arlo Guthrie that night as well and is pictured with "me and Arlo". :-)
